For My Love

Searching for my love’s light I find

Under his soul a new and fresh

Hope, hidden away deep behind

His eyes. He does not hide his flesh,

As he glances up and a moment is shared

Between the two of us; I feel his stare,

Moving in my blood. A longing gaze that I have known

That comes from him: severely loving, kindly mine.

As he continues to caress my face, I am blown

Away. Fed on assurance, his light always shines

And he wraps his strong arms around my physique.

Cares for all, but only I receive the boutique

Of flowers. I am never by myself.

I have a lover. I desire nothing else.
